Chandler Center for the Arts lists Ballet Under the Stars, presented by Ballet Arizona, on Friday, Oct. 2. Tickets run through the center's own calendar listing. The center's fall calendar also lists the 13th Annual Center Stage Gala on Oct. 17 and Shanghai Ballet on Oct. 23.

The 27th annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival comes to Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, Nov. 1, and the city says tickets will be available soon. It follows Chandler Contigo, the Hispanic Heritage Month lineup that starts with Dia de Fiesta on Sept. 12 and runs library events through Oct. 15.

PHOENIX magazine's July openings roundup puts Blue Donkey Greek Eats at 3120 S. Gilbert Road, serving souvlaki pitas and spanakopita, and Curry Pizza House at 3950 W. Ray Road, doing Indian pizza alongside traditional pies. Maza Mediterranean Cuisine, halal, is listed at 3491 W. Frye Road.

Chandler Fashion Center's food court has a new tenant. Johnny Rockets, the burgers-fries-and-hand-crafted-shakes chain, celebrated its grand opening Aug. 8 and 9, and the mall says it is the first Southeast Valley location. Garage, which sells everyday and active staples for women, opened the same Saturday, Aug. 8.

"The Collectionists" opens Saturday, Aug. 22 at Vision Gallery, 10 E. Chicago St., and runs through Nov. 7. Admission is free. Heidi Dauphin and Laura Spalding Best built the whole thing around the urge to collect. Dauphin: "With hundreds of objects created between the two of us, there will be numerous details to examine, large views to take in, games to play, puzzles to solve, and opportunities for participation." The opening reception is Friday, Sept. 11, 6 to 8 p.m.

Chandler Contigo Dia de Fiesta runs Saturday, Sept. 12 from 4 to 10 p.m. at Dr. A.J. Chandler Stage Park, and the city calls it "our first-ever traditional Grito celebration." It opens a month of Hispanic Heritage programming from Sept. 12 to Oct. 15, with crafts, story times and guest speakers at library branches. The 27th Annual Mariachi and Folklorico Festival follows Nov. 1 at Chandler Center for the Arts.

Concerts in the Courtyard returns to the Chandler Community Center at 125 E. Commonwealth Ave. on Sept. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The city lists it as free, with teen bands playing originals and covers. Two more dates follow before the holidays, Oct. 16 and Nov. 20.

HEX runs Oct. 30 and 31 at Rawhide Festival Grounds, 5700 W. North Loop Road. The two-day bass festival is headlined by Excision, Subtronics, INZO and ATLiens, with roughly twenty more artists on the bill. Doors are at 5 p.m. and curfew is 12:30 a.m. It is an 18-and-over event with ID required, and tickets are listed from $76.40.

Fabletics reopens Thursday, Aug. 27 at Chandler Fashion Center with nearly twice the square footage after an expansion. Two other tenants opened earlier this month: Garage held its grand opening Aug. 8 with free in-store embroidery and mystery gift cards, and Johnny Rockets opened Aug. 8 and 9 in the food court as its first Southeast Valley location.

Chicha San Chen is open at 3305 W. Chandler Blvd., serving oolong and bubble teas with the base, flavor, toppings and sugar level all up to you. No food, just tea. Its green tea with passion fruit blend has taken the Diamond Taste Award from the Brussels-based International Taste Institute seven years running. Owners Philip and Rosa Chang praised the brand's consistency “from store to store.”
All Copy Products and its IT division Verticomm completed a 39,000-square-foot office and warehouse at 6640 W. Chicago St., with 19,400 square feet of office and 20,000 square feet of warehouse. The building has a two-story office with a client demonstration room, a freight elevator, a mezzanine over the warehouse and an onsite fitness center. The company employs nearly 50 full-time people in Chandler and is actively recruiting, with a grand opening planned for fall 2026.

The donut chain that started in Chandler in 1994 is adding a location at 1245 S. Price Road, Suite 2. Owner Jackson Chao is targeting February 2027. It joins BoSa's existing Chandler shops at Dobson and Elliot, Arizona and Galveston, and Arizona and Ocotillo.

Fitlab AZ is opening its second location at 2375 S. Arizona Ave, Suite 1 in Chandler, with 24/7 access, more than 100 strength and cardio pieces, infrared saunas, cold plunges and compression therapy. Owner Brandon Burden says the team is shooting for a late August or early September opening.

Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila opened its second Arizona location in Chandler on August 5. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant has indoor dining and two outdoor patios, a list of more than 100 premium tequilas and mezcals, daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., and all-day Taco Tuesday specials.

The City of Chandler has published its special events slate through December. Halloween Spooktacular is October 30 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed in November by the Chandler Golf Challenge on the 6th, Arbor Day and Diwali: Festival of Lights on the 7th, the Military Appreciation Breakfast on the 13th, the Community Center's 40th birthday celebration on the 19th and Woofstock on the 21st. Santa's House opens December 5.

The city's free summer concert series has JD Nash & The Rash of Cash on Friday, August 7 at 7 p.m. and Medio Pinto on Friday, August 14 at 7 p.m. August 14 is a double bill, with Film Friday screening the 1953 War of the Worlds at 6 p.m. beforehand. The city calendar also lists the Water You Doing pop-up on August 15 from noon to 2 p.m.

Downtown Chandler Cars & Coffee returns Sunday, August 9, from 8 to 11 a.m. at 178 W. Boston St. The free monthly gathering fills downtown with luxury, exotic, classic and specialty vehicles, with coffee, breakfast, shopping and interactive experiences hosted by Downtown Chandler businesses alongside it. It runs the second Sunday of every month.

The City of Chandler lists its final Water You Doing pop-up of the summer on Aug. 15 from noon to 2 p.m. at Desert Oasis Aquatic Center. Entry is free, and the city says attendees explore water safety fundamentals and receive a custom-fitted U.S. Coast Guard-certified life jacket, plus public swim.
