Hype It Up Toys says it is now open at Park West and will hold its Halloween Hype & Grand Opening on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. The operator describes it as a free family event at 9784 W. TheaterWorks presents The Addams Family from Oct. 23 through Nov. 8, 2026, at 10580 N. 83rd Drive in Peoria. The musical follows Wednesday Addams as she falls for a boy from a very different family. Opening night starts at 7:30 p.m.; other dates include matinees and evening performances. The 10th Arizona Bao and Dumpling Festival is scheduled for November 14 and 15, 2026, at Centennial Plaza Park behind Peoria City Hall, 8401 W. Monroe Street. The organizer lists 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, with early-entry packages admitting guests at 11 a.m. and general-admission packages at 12:30 p.m. Children 12 and younger enter free without a ticket, and parking is free. Food and drinks cost extra. Check the organizer’s ticket page for package prices and the entry time attached to your ticket; vendors vary by day.

The 2026 Cactus League season drew 1,753,849 visitors across 237 games and added $495.8 million to Arizona's GDP, the highest figures since measurement began more than 20 years ago, according to an ASU Seidman Research Institute study reported by AZ Big Media. It was the fifth straight season of attendance growth across the Valley's 10 ballparks.

Peoria's Pumpkin Patch at 7717 W. Thunderbird Road runs Oct. 13 to 31, according to Raising Arizona Kids' 2026 pumpkin patch guide. The Peoria Church of the Nazarene fills the patch with pumpkins through the second half of October, along with fall events.

Jefferson House at 83rd Avenue and Jefferson Street in Downtown Peoria's Arts District is targeting a November 2026 opening. Plans include three chef-run kitchens, six retail and eatery spots, a courtyard bar, a live music stage, a 16-foot splash pad and seating for 300-plus under a covered canopy.

The Christmas Cafe is set for 24980 N. 83rd Ave., near 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road, and is expected to welcome its first customers in fall 2026. Coffee, fresh food and curated retail come with Christmas-inspired decor all year, and the menu previews a Peppermint Bark Latte.

Ballet Under the Stars returns to Peoria on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Centennial Plaza behind City Hall, 9875 N. 85th Ave. Pre-show activities and food trucks start at 6 p.m. and Ballet Arizona's professional dancers take the stage at 7 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Peoria's Halloween Monster Bash has a new home in 2026: City Hall Campus and Centennial Plaza, 8401 W. Monroe St., on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. The city says the move buys more room for themed zones, easier parking and a walkable backdrop. Expect glowing trick-or-treat trails, costumed characters, food trucks and costume contests judged by age group, newborn through 11, plus family and group, with prizes for the top three in each. A sensory trailer and quiet area will be set up with noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, soft seating and sensory kits. Maps and schedules are still to come.
The city recognized TheaterWorks on Sept. 15 with a proclamation signed by Mayor Jason Beck marking four decades of live theatre and arts education in Peoria and the West Valley, the Peoria Independent reports. Founded in 1986, the company has grown into a cornerstone of the city's arts scene, welcoming hundreds of thousands of patrons and giving a creative home to thousands of performers, students and volunteers.

The organizer lists Peoria’s free music-and-art festival on the second Saturday of each month from October through April, 5 to 9 p.m., on 83rd Avenue between Washington and Jefferson in Downtown Peoria. The recurring event includes live music, local art, artisan vendors and hands-on activities.
