Glendale City Council approved annexation and rezoning for Project Eagle/Baccara on October 27, 2026. The roughly 160-acre site near Litchfield Road and Olive Avenue, close to Luke Air Force Base, is planned for three data center buildings, 18 natural gas turbines and an APS substation. KJZZ, ABC15 and FOX 10 report the approval following debate over water use, noise and air quality. Glendale says annexation gives it greater oversight of the development, including landscaping and fencing requirements. This is a land-use approval; a construction start has not been confirmed.

Pinal County says its Final Mile wireless internet project is complete, with 32 radio towers built across the county to serve rural communities. Its October 23 update confirms ribbon-cuttings at J.O. Combs School District in San Tan Valley and in Mammoth. The county and school superintendent’s office developed the network after pandemic-era remote learning exposed gaps in internet access. The announcement does not provide household coverage, pricing or enrollment details.

Copper Residences would replace the nine-hole Mesquite course at Westin Kierland with up to 494 residential or hotel units across about 72 acres north and south of Greenway Parkway. Phoenix lists the rezoning application as active; it has not been adopted. The project team lists a Paradise Valley Village Planning Committee recommendation meeting for November 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Paradise Valley Community Center’s multipurpose room, 17402 N. 40th Street. The proposal retains the Ironwood and Acacia courses as 18 holes. Kierland Community Alliance opposes the plan, citing open-space and traffic concerns. The village recommendation is an advisory step, not final city approval; check the city’s meeting notice before attending.

The Other Art Fair comes to On Jackson, 245 E. Jackson Street in Phoenix, November 12 to 15, 2026, with independent artists, installations, live music and artworks for sale. Opening night runs Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.; public hours are Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission-only tickets for Friday through Sunday are listed at $25 through November 6 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time, or until sold out, then $30 starting November 7. Prices include taxes and processing fees. Opening night and packages have separate prices. All visitors need tickets.

Costco lists November 7, 2026, as the opening date for its new Chandler Business Center at 1111 W. Pecos Road. The warehouse page still marks the location as coming soon and lists business delivery among its services. Check Costco’s location page for current opening details before making a trip; opening-day hours are not listed on that page.

Taliesin West reopened October 24, 2026, after a closure following the October 16 death of a visitor struck by wind-blown roofing material, AZFamily reports. KJZZ separately reported the reopening announcement. The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation said it inspected roofing and structures and added a weather station to inform daily safety decisions. The Scottsdale site is at 12621 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Its current tour page lists Tuesday closures through October 31 and daily tours beginning November 1; advance reservations are recommended.

Pederson Group is proposing a 34-acre shopping and employment development within The BLVD in Avondale, according to separate reports from AZBEX and the Phoenix Business Journal. The plans include an unnamed grocery anchor of about 99,000 square feet and roughly 118,000 square feet of industrial space. The proposal is working through the city’s approval process. A grocery tenant and opening date have not been confirmed in the reporting reviewed; the project should be treated as a development proposal.
PRESS now lists its Camelback Corridor cafe as open at 3133 E. Camelback Road, Suite 195. The current operator status supersedes the earlier coming-soon notice.
As of Oct 2, 2026: The Italian restaurant is planning a second location at Uptown Plaza. The reported target is late October; an exact opening day has not been confirmed.
EggBred’s own location directory lists its Central Phoenix restaurant with operating hours and ordering options. This McDowell Road location is open for business.
SanTan Village says Madewell is expected to open in early November 2026 and Windsor on Nov. 12 at the Gilbert shopping center, 2218 E. Williams Field Road. The center’s Oct. 21 announcement adds the two clothing retailers to its upcoming lineup. These are announced opening plans; Madewell has not been given an exact day. Check the center’s updates before planning a visit.

Maricopa’s legislation record lists Ordinance 26-16 as passed on Oct. 20, 2026, rezoning about 0.9 acres at the northwest corner of West Mercado and North Main streets. The city’s staff report identifies a proposed food-truck court for the site. This is a zoning step, not an opening announcement: the report says a temporary-use permit application would undergo further review. The reviewed city records do not give an opening date.

The fall Tempe Festival of the Arts runs December 4 to 6, 2026, on historic Mill Avenue. The organizer lists hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free and dogs are welcome. The festival brings artist booths, local music, a Kids Block and food options to downtown Tempe. Jared Jewelers is open at 9995 W. McDowell Road in Avondale’s Gateway Crossing. Its current store page lists jewelry and watch repairs, custom design, engraving and ring sizing. The West Valley Regional Chamber’s opening announcement describes the location as the first U.S. store with Jared’s newest design concept. Check the retailer’s location page before visiting: its daily status banner and weekly hours table show different closing times.

Updated October 27, 2026: Cheba Hut now lists daily hours for its south Scottsdale shop at 2200 N. Scottsdale Road: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. The operator lists dine-in, takeout and delivery, and its location page no longer carries the earlier Coming Soon label. This replaces our October 26 opening forecast; the location page does not establish the exact first day of service.
