Fall Arizona Restaurant Week returns Friday, Sept. 18 through Sunday, Sept. 27, per the Arizona Restaurant Association's listing in the Daily Independent calendar. Participating restaurants serve three-course menus at $33, $44 or $55, and the association says more than 200 restaurants around the state signed up, with many first-time participants. Copper Residences would replace the nine-hole Mesquite course at Westin Kierland with up to 494 residential or hotel units across about 72 acres north and south of Greenway Parkway. Phoenix lists the rezoning application as active; it has not been adopted. The project team lists a Paradise Valley Village Planning Committee recommendation meeting for November 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Paradise Valley Community Center’s multipurpose room, 17402 N. 40th Street. The proposal retains the Ironwood and Acacia courses as 18 holes. Kierland Community Alliance opposes the plan, citing open-space and traffic concerns. Phoenix Zoo’s Roars & Pours: Brewlights is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 455 N. Galvin Parkway. The event offers a preview of ZooLights along select trails, animal ambassador encounters, games and entertainment. Admission is listed at $13 per person for ages 21 and older, with valid ID required. Food and drinks cost extra. Tickets are limited, nontransferable and nonrefundable; check the zoo’s event page for purchase options.
