Gilbert Concert in the Park runs Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Heritage Park. Flavors of Gilbert is Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Water Tower Plaza. Live pumpkin carving with Ray Villafane is Oct. 24. All of it sits inside Harvest, which runs Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Nov. 1, with the Great Gourd Hunt as the centerpiece. Admission details are still listed as coming soon.

Visit Downtown Glendale has the Glendale Glitters kickoff on Nov. 27 and 28, 5 to 10 p.m. each evening, with the official lighting ceremony starting at 5:45 p.m. on the 27th. Holiday lights, vendors, entertainment and Santa visits, and the displays then run nightly through Jan. 1, 2027. Before that, the Holiday Open House is Saturday, Nov. 14, and the Front Porch Festival is Oct. 10.

The Gold Canyon Arts Council opens its 2026-27 Canyon Sounds season with Fandango on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. The performance is at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon, where most concerts in the six-show season are held.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival has posted its next Gold Canyon season for Saturdays and Sundays from Feb. 6 through April 4, 2027. The official site places the nine-weekend festival at 12601 E. US Highway 60, Gold Canyon, and lists jousting, falconry, games, rides, shows, food and an artisan market.

InMaricopa reports Street Queen Tacos, the Casa Grande taco spot, has opened its second location in Maricopa, in the Cobblestone Fiesta plaza on John Wayne Parkway, taking over the space Tacos N' More used to hold. Co-owner Diego Negrete told InMaricopa on opening day that the focus is quality food, good service and the best salsa in town.

Desert Botanical Garden runs Flashlight Nights on Saturdays through Sept. 26, 7 to 9:30 p.m. You walk the trails after dark with a flashlight, looking for night-blooming cactus and nocturnal desert critters. The Garden also has Grandparents Night on Sept. 12, where one grandparent gets in free with a paid ticket using code GRAND26.

Terra Gaucha will bring tableside churrasco and a hot and cold gourmet table to Desert Ridge, its first Arizona location. Phoenix New Times reports a summer 2026 opening, and the restaurant has not announced its own date yet.

A 15,000 square foot Trader Joe's is going into the former Joann building on the northeast corner of Desert Ridge Marketplace, Arizona's 22nd store, and it will sell beer and wine. No opening date yet, though the liquor license filing puts construction wrapping in November.

SanTanValley.com's building tracker has 7 Brew opening Monday, Aug. 24 at the northwest corner of Ironwood and Ocotillo, inside Town of Queen Creek limits. The same tracker has Marshalls and HomeGoods both opening Aug. 27 at Skyline Ranch Marketplace, and EOS Fitness following in September. Skyline Ranch sits at Hunt Highway and Gary Road, on the San Tan Valley side of the line rather than in Queen Creek proper.
