Estrella Mountain Community College hosts its 13th annual veterans run and ceremony Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 3000 N. Dysart Road. The one-mile run/walk starts at 8 a.m., the 5K at 8:15 and the ceremony at 10. Proceeds support the college’s veterans scholarship fund. Pederson Group is proposing a 34-acre shopping and employment development within The BLVD in Avondale, according to separate reports from AZBEX and the Phoenix Business Journal. The plans include an unnamed grocery anchor of about 99,000 square feet and roughly 118,000 square feet of industrial space. The proposal is working through the city’s approval process. A grocery tenant and opening date have not been confirmed in the reporting reviewed; the project should be treated as a development proposal.
