Updated November 1: Barclay Group is marketing The District at the northwest corner of Avondale Boulevard and Van Buren Street as a shopping center under development. Its project page lists shop space and pad opportunities at the gateway to The BLVD. This updates our earlier report on the Pederson shopping and employment proposal at this intersection. The developer page does not identify a grocery tenant or give an opening date. Earlier acreage and floor-area figures have been removed because current marketing materials and earlier planning reports describe different sizes; no completed opening is being announced.
