Apache Junction Public Library will celebrate its new 20,000-square-foot Superstition Reading Garden on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1177 N. Idaho Road. The city says the outdoor space includes a greenhouse, six raised beds, shaded tables and a 50-seat amphitheater. Rock painting, giveaways, family activities and a food truck follow the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The garden will host workshops, story times and other programs.

Pumpkin Patch Plunge runs Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center, 1091 W. Southern Ave. Children can choose a floating pumpkin and carve or paint it onsite. The city requires preregistration through Parks and Recreation; the $5 per-child fee includes one pumpkin per child.
