Roman God of Fire, the newest project from Pretty Decent Concepts and chef Scott Conant, is open at 52 E. Rio Salado Parkway with woodfired Italian cooking. Copper Courier's Sept. 10 roundup of August openings lists rigatoni alla carbonara, pizza bianca and a 12-ounce New York strip on the menu. It shares the list with six other new Tempe spots, including Culinary Gangster and Urban Hip-E on Mill Avenue and Daydreamer Coffee on Apache Boulevard.

OXDX Clothing is hosting its Scary Saturday Halloween Popup Market on October 31, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. at 1821 N. Scottsdale Road in Tempe. Tempe Marketplace’s holiday tree lighting takes place November 25, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on The District Street at 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway. The tree lights at 7 p.m., with performances at The District Stage and free Santa photos available until 8 p.m. The center lists free holiday activities; toys and a separate VIP experience are additional purchases.

Tempe Tardeada is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Tempe Community Center Complex. The free festival celebrates Tempe’s Hispanic heritage with music, dancing, arts and crafts, face painting and inflatables for children.
