Sprouts’ official store directory lists October 30, 2026 as the opening date for its South Scottsdale store at 1490 N. Scottsdale Road, at SkySong Boulevard. This is the planned new store, separate from the existing Miller Road location. Sam Fox's American brasserie Society Swan landed at No. 14 on Yelp's national list of the 25 best new restaurants, one of just two Arizona spots on it, Phoenix New Times reports. Yelp said it "feels more like a tucked-away supper club than a mall restaurant," and shouted out the oysters, French Quarter salmon, steak fries and lobster carbonara.

Diversified Partners broke ground Sept. 29 on The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a roughly 100,000-square-foot redo of the 1978 lakeside center off McCormick Parkway, east of Scottsdale Road, AZ Big Media reports. SUSHISAMBA, V Modern Italian (opening 2027) and La La Land are signed, and plans include a small marina with Duffy boat rentals, waterfront dining and public gathering areas. Demolition starts in early October, with major construction in early 2027.
Los Milics Vineyards, the Arizona winery led by winemaker and FnB co-owner Pavle Milic, has opened its expanded tasting room on the southwest corner of Marshall Way and Third Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale, Phoenix New Times reports. The 2,800-square-foot space adds two street-facing patios, a private dining area and triple the seating of the original, plus a kitchen, so the wines now come with food such as hand-pulled mozzarella.

Dash, from chef Matt Carter, is coming this fall to the southeast corner of Hayden Road and Mountain View in McCormick Ranch, AZ Big Media reports. It pairs an all-day kitchen (coffee, pastries, sandwiches, Roman-style pizza, charcoal chicken, soft serve) with a neighborhood market and an evening cocktail program.

Drake's Hollywood is headed for 3828 N. Scottsdale Road, an 8,000-square-foot Old Town space that used to be a Buca di Beppo. Founded in Texas, the restaurant serves classic American chophouse fare, Chicago-style thin-crust pizzas and cold martinis in a room built around red leather booths, Art Deco chandeliers and murals inspired by illustrator Edward Sorel. Phoenix New Times lists it as still to come this fall. Its operator, Vandelay Hospitality, also plans Hudson House outposts in Phoenix and Gilbert next year.

The Scottsdale 75 Picture Scavenger Hunt sends you to 75 places that shaped the city, from Taliesin West to the Mustang Wall at Mustang Library. You use the Seeker app to check in, take selfies, earn points and collect city swag, and finishing all 75 stops plus the bonus activities enters you for grand prizes. The city also premiered Diamond in the Dust, a documentary on Scottsdale's rise from a small desert town, which is now free to watch on YouTube, and released Hands-On History, a book of reflections from 75 residents.

The white-and-yellow Dallas coffee brand is planning a cafe at The Lakefront at Scottsdale, the redevelopment of a 1978 property at 7501 E. McCormick Parkway with views of the lake and Camelback Mountain, What Now Phoenix reports. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project is set for Sept. 24; the cafe's opening date has not been announced. La La Land already pours at Kierland Commons in Scottsdale and on 44th Street in Phoenix, and SUSHISAMBA has also signed on at The Lakefront.

General Admission, a full-service restaurant and sports lounge from Los Angeles brothers Kamran and Kourosh Pourkazemi, plans a fall 2026 opening at 3737 N. Scottsdale Road, the former RnR Gastropub, What Now Phoenix reports. Expect a dark room with a long bar, booths and televisions throughout. The Scottsdale menu is not out yet; the Las Vegas location at UnCommons serves wings, sushi, smashburgers, steak and seafood with margaritas, cocktails, wine and beer. Scottsdale is now listed on the company's site alongside Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Bobby Thomson's 1951 pennant-winning home run got a name, the Shot Heard 'Round the World, and 75 years later nobody agrees on where the ball went. An exhibit about that moment and the search for the ball opens at Scottsdale Stadium in October, accessible during Fall League games and other selected dates, per Experience Scottsdale. Phoenix resident Eric O'Mara claims to own the ball and it will be on display; the exhibit lays out the testimony that supports his claim and the evidence that cuts against it. It runs Oct. 3 through Nov. 15, produced by the nonprofit Arizona Baseball Legacy and Experience and sponsored by the City of Scottsdale. Scottsdale Stadium is at 7408 E. Scottsdale Quarter's fall concert series kicks off Saturday, Sept. 26, and runs every Saturday through Nov. 7, 5 to 7 p.m., with local bands playing under the palms in The Quad, Scottsdale.com reports. It is free; bring blankets and chairs and claim a spot on the lawn. Marketing director Christina Calhoun says the series gives people another reason to linger on a Saturday evening once the weather cools.

McCormick Parkway, What Now Phoenix reported Sept. 11. Diversified Partners' roughly 100,000-square-foot McCormick Ranch redevelopment breaks ground Sept. 24. Scottsdale Arts' free public-art event returns to the Scottsdale Waterfront Nov. 6 to 15, 2026, its 15th year, with large-scale artworks, workshops and performances along the Arizona Canal. This year's theme is "Western Nature," exploring the elements of Arizona and the Southwest through art and community. Admission is free.
The Rusty Spur Saloon, 7245 E. Main St., celebrates 75 years on Saturday, Sept. 26 starting at 11 a.m. with live music from local performers, 75-cent Coors Banquet beers and free commemorative koozies while supplies last, plus limited-edition anniversary T-shirts. Guests can help fill a custom 75 display on the west wall with dollar bills for the Phoenix Children's Foundation Hope Fund. The saloon opened in 1951 in the former Farmer's Bank of Scottsdale building, per In Business Magazine.
Chef James Fox's Vecina opens its second location Friday, Sept. 18 in McCormick Ranch, a room Arizona Foothills Magazine describes as over three times the size of the original Arcadia restaurant, with private dining areas, a mezzanine, a custom mural by Tato Caraveo and an open patio with lake views. Menu carryovers include the karaage and the Faroe Island salmon tacos with yuzu kosho aioli, joined by a mesquite-grilled prime carne asada ribeye and gambas al ajillo. Fox said the original's size "has always created some limitations," and the new location gives the team a chance to expand. Hours were not listed, so check before you go.

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market marks 15 years with a three-day run at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Friday, Sept. 18 is VIP shopping from 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 19 opens early entry at 9 a.m. and general admission from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 20 runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Advance prices through Sept. 17 are $10 general, $25 early entry and $50 VIP, rising to $12, $30 and $60 after. Expect 160 handpicked vendors across 120,000-plus square feet, live music and food trucks. Owner Heather Nash says it started in 2011 "as a space for people to share their love for vintage."
Kuza opens Sept. 16, 2026 in north Scottsdale, built around an open robata grill and a raw bar. It is the third Valley concept from Clive Collective, alongside The Americano and Tell Your Friends, with Executive Chef Erik Davila leading the kitchen. The menu leans on charcoal-grilled meats and seafood, sushi and raw preparations, including a Chicken Negima glazed and rotated repeatedly over charcoal, and the restaurant says its fish arrives twice weekly from Tokyo's Toyosu Market. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 5 to 11 p.m.

The main run starts Oct. 8 with The First Course, a dinner and runway show at Roka Akor, followed by The Pool Club swimwear show at Hotel Adeline on Oct. 9, Fashion In Motion at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale on Oct. 10 and the closing Sunday Soiree at Scottsdale Quarter on Oct. 11.
