A baseball mystery lands at Scottsdale Stadium Oct. 3 to Nov. 15

Bobby Thomson's 1951 pennant-winning home run got a name, the Shot Heard 'Round the World, and 75 years later nobody agrees on where the ball went. An exhibit about that moment and the search for the ball opens at Scottsdale Stadium in October, accessible during Fall League games and other selected dates, per Experience Scottsdale. Phoenix resident Eric O'Mara claims to own the ball and it will be on display; the exhibit lays out the testimony that supports his claim and the evidence that cuts against it. It runs Oct. 3 through Nov. 15, produced by the nonprofit Arizona Baseball Legacy and Experience and sponsored by the City of Scottsdale. Scottsdale Stadium is at 7408 E.
