Casa Grande’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved a conditional-use permit Oct. 1 for the proposed Grande Valley Data Center campus, south of Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway between Montgomery Road and the Midway Road alignment. The city says no operator has been identified, and this approval does not authorize construction. The proposal includes onsite power generation and battery storage; permit conditions cover water reporting, noise and other impacts. Further development reviews and permits are required before building can begin.
